Tegelwippen
Tegelwippen ("Tile Flipping") is a playful climate initiative where Belgian municipalities compete to remove pavement and replace it with greenery turning “less grey, more green” into a public challenge. From March to October 2024, I worked with Supermachine to support four participating towns with a creative and strategic communication package.
My role focused on developing visual materials based on the existing campaign branding. I aimed to bring fresh, engaging elements into the design while staying true to the visual identity, from posters and social media templates to signage and promo assets for local events.
What made this project fun (and challenging) was the goal: motivating people to literally dig up their own patios and driveways. We helped turn that idea into something rewarding by making it feel like a collective, competitive mission.
Through clear communication, educational events, and strong visuals, the campaign got real traction. Lochristi even ended up in the national top three. This was a great example of how design can energize local climate action and make sustainable choices feel not only possible, but exciting.
